Home Sticker Packs Country Packs GIF-Style Reactions Captions How It Works About Contact

Adding custom football stickers to WhatsApp is one of the best ways to make your matchday conversations more fun, expressive, and memorable. Whether you want to celebrate goals with style, react to VAR decisions with the perfect image, or simply make your football group chat more entertaining, having your own sticker collection ready in WhatsApp makes every moment better.

This guide walks you through the entire process of downloading football stickers from MatchdayMood and adding them to your WhatsApp, step by step. By the end, you will have a fully customised sticker pack ready to use in any chat.

Step 1: Download Your Football Stickers

The first step is to choose which stickers you want to use. Head over to our Sticker Gallery where you can browse our complete collection of original football reaction stickers. We have organised everything into categories to make browsing easy.

You can download stickers in two ways. For individual stickers, click any card in the gallery and press the download button. For a complete themed collection, download one of our sticker packs as a ZIP file, which contains multiple related stickers ready to use together. Our current packs include the Penalty Shootout Pack, Goal Celebration Pack, VAR Drama Pack, and more.

All MatchdayMood stickers are provided as PNG files with transparent backgrounds, which is exactly what WhatsApp requires. Each file is 512x512 pixels, the standard resolution for WhatsApp stickers.

Step 2: Choose a Sticker Maker App

WhatsApp does not allow you to directly import individual PNG images as stickers. You need a third-party sticker maker app to create a proper sticker pack. There are several excellent free options available:

Download and install whichever app works best for your device. All of them follow a similar process for creating and exporting sticker packs to WhatsApp.

Step 3: Create Your Sticker Pack

Open your chosen sticker maker app and start a new pack. Most apps will ask you to name your pack and choose an icon image. Pick something memorable like "Matchday Reactions" or "Football Stickers" so you can easily find it in WhatsApp later.

Now import the PNG files you downloaded from MatchdayMood. Navigate to your downloads folder, select the sticker images, and add them to your pack. Most apps support adding up to 30 stickers per pack, so you can create themed collections. For example, you might create one pack for goal celebrations, another for VAR reactions, and a third for matchday emotions.

The app will automatically check that your images meet WhatsApp's requirements. Since all MatchdayMood stickers are already properly formatted at 512x512 pixels with transparent backgrounds, they should pass these checks without any issues.

Step 4: Add Your Pack to WhatsApp

Once you have created your pack and added all the stickers you want, look for the "Add to WhatsApp" or "Publish to WhatsApp" button in your sticker maker app. Tap it, and the app will handle the export process automatically.

After a few seconds, your new sticker pack will appear in WhatsApp's sticker section. To access it, open any chat, tap the emoji icon, then the sticker icon at the bottom, and scroll through your collections to find your new pack.

Some sticker maker apps also let you create animated sticker packs. While our current collection focuses on static PNG stickers, we do offer GIF-style reaction images that can be used in chats as animated content.

Tips for Organising Your Sticker Collection

As you build your collection, organisation becomes important. We recommend creating separate packs for different situations. A "Matchday Essentials" pack with your most-used reactions, a "Goals" pack for celebrations, a "VAR" pack for those controversial moments, and an "Emotions" pack for the full matchday experience.

This way, you can always find the right reaction quickly, even in the middle of a fast-moving group chat during a big match. You can also rearrange stickers within packs to put your favourites at the front for easy access.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

If your stickers are not showing up in WhatsApp, try these quick fixes. Make sure your sticker maker app has the necessary permissions to access your photos and export to WhatsApp. Check that your PNG files are under 100KB each, which is WhatsApp's file size limit. Our stickers are optimised to meet this requirement, but if you edit them first, they might exceed the limit.

If a sticker appears with a white background instead of transparent, the PNG file may have lost its transparency during editing or transfer. Re-download the original file from our gallery to fix this.
